The removal of lichen and black spot from patios is simple and straight forward when using BATIFORT. Black spot is also easy to remove from york stone patio using our products. Especially good for sandstone.

Our black lichen killer & remover Batifort will help you to cure the issues connected with black spot. A 10kg container of Batifort will give an approximate coverage of between 50 - 100m2 depending upon the type of surface and level of cleaning that is required.

We recommend using Batifort neat (undiluted) and appling it directly to the areas of heavy staining such as blackspot. The surrounding areas can then be treated with a diluted solution. The whole area should then be washed.

"I'm delighted with the cleaner, which has not only cleared the blackspot/lichen which had appeared on our paving, but has brought the surface of the paving back to its original appearance. Couldn't have asked for better! I've started on the full area now and am having excellent results." - Mr Corry, West Lothian

"Delighted with the results today after one application my pebble dash is like new again. Brilliant product." - Mr Forrest, Lanarkshire

"I pebble dashed my house about 5 years ago. It was beautiful with Dorset pebbles on a white background. One wall is exposed to the prevailing wind and rain and is almost continuously wet for much of the winter and spring. An infestation of black and red lichen had taken a grip and the surface had begun to look dirty and shabby. I was upset. After some research I found Batifort and decided to give it a try today. I followed all of the instructions almost forgetting only the protective clothing. It was easily applied with a garden sprayer first round the heavily soiled areas at the corners Bellcast etc. With neat product. After light brushing with a soft brush I left it for 30 min to do its magic. A thorough was followed with the garden hose and to my astonishment a pristine white finish I thought was lost forever immerged. Am I delighted. Not half. This is exceptionally good stuff. Only downside is I need a new pair of Jean's now. Tip of the day ware protective clothing. This stuff is the business." - Mr Forrest, Lanarkshire via Google Reviews

Why does Batifort need to be rinsed?

Batifort is a product that is designed to kill moss and lichen growth on contact and is therefore not pH neutral. As it is an alkaline product, we recommend that the surface is rinsed however don't be too alarmed as the rinsing does two jobs. Firstly, it is rinsing the product but secondly the mechanical action of rinsing will help to remove the dead growth

Which sprayers can I use for Batifort?

As Batifort is a high alkaline (base) cleaner we recommend that you use a sprayer that is designed to handle such products. We have a number of sprayers, within our range, that are designed to work with alkaline products such as our Cleaner 10-litre, 5-litre and 1-litre units.

What happens if I don't use a compatible sprayer?

Our alkaline sprayers are mainly fitted with EPDM seals which have a high resistance to alkaline products and, as such, will operate normally when used. If your sprayer isn't fitted with resistant seals then they will start to break down when they encounter an alkaline solution which will, eventually, lead to leaking of both the liquid and air.
