Product Description
Ferro Top is a speciality iron fertiliser containing high levels of both magnesium and potash together with manganese. These combined will promote the overall quality of your grassed area, it's resistance to drought, and many other potential damages, and its colour. Ferro Top is produced to a fine granulation which helps to ensure a very high penetration level meaning less waste and faster results.
Once applied to the grassed area, Ferro top will give the growth fast greening without the additional growth that can occur with many alternative products. It will displace moss and will protect the area against new growth especially during the spring and winter months. This can be used as a treatment during the weeks of early spring to help start your turf on its annual journey of life.

How is it best to apply Ferro Top?
As Ferro Top is a small granular formulation it needs to be spread rather than mixed/diluted in water. How it is applied depends upon your preference and the size of area you are treating. If it is a fairly small area or you are breaking a larger area into small areas then it is quite easy to apply by hand. This can mean either scattering by hand (remember to wear gloves and wash your hands after usage) or from a container. If you are applying to a larger area then it may be better to use a spreader.
When should I apply Ferro Top?
We have always found it easier to spread when rain is due. This means that nature can 'water in' the granules as opposed to having to water the area yourself. If you can't wait until rain is due then apply water to the treated area after application. Apart from that it is best applied during the growing period of your grass therefore from early spring through to late autumn. We recommend not applying during periods of drought.
Are the granules safe for use around pets?
Pets can eat things that are not intended as food so we recommend that pets are kept off the treated surface until completely dissipated. A good way to do this is to section an area at a time and treat this rather than treating the whole area at one time.
